Rigged at Last

Posted 24th Dec 2010 at 02:29 PM by Hawk
Well it's finally been rigged. Since the boat was in pieces when I acquired it, this is the first time that I've seen it rigged. Aside from having to replace some fasteners that were beyond repair, most of the fitting were there. I also have to replace some ropes on the sails, but otherwise, all is in good enough shape to take to the water.

The final assembly came together very quickly. I took the advice given regarding using Sikaflex 291 for sealing the centreboard case. I'm hoping that has worked well, but won't know until we hit the water. I'm not anticipating any problems.

Hopefully the next set of photos that I'll post will be from the launching.
